USDA RHS provided updated information on the location/ proposed eligible map changes. Basically the new revised USDA eligible location map has once again been delayed. This is great news because the new changes would have greatly reduced the approved area in Florida. FL homebuyers in the more populated locations can still take advantage of the No money down USDA mortgage.
In light of the proposed continuing resolution (CR), the RHS deferral of transition to the 2010 census will not expire on September 30, 2013 but will need to continue for some period after that. Consequently, all plans for implementing the 2010 Census, including three or five year periodic reviews, should be put on hold until further notice from the National Office. USDA Rural Housing Service will be in a holding pattern until a CR is signed. We will provide further guidance as soon as we can.
Keep in mind many locations just outside of Sarasota, Tallahassee, Pensacola, Orlando, Gainesville, Ocala, Tampa and Jacksonville are still eligible for USDA Rural Housing. Florida homebuyers please visit our blog for the latest 2013-2014 map updates at http://www.usdamortgagesource.com/blog/
